Goeringer Elected to as President-Elect of the American Agricultural Law Association
Paul Goeringer, Principal Faculty Specialist and Extension Specialist, has been elected as the President-Elect of the American Agricultural Law Association (AALA). Goeringer will begin another 3-year term on the AALA’s board starting in December of this year.
The American Agricultural Law Association serves as the premier organization in engaging and informing law and policy professionals who work in America’s food and agriculture communities, and its membership continues to grow. The Association was founded in 1980 in response to the farm financial crisis, which affected the vast majority of American farmers at the time who were left without legal advice regarding rapidly evolving food and agriculture sectors. The Association’s forums, publications, and hands-on legal education offer the protection American farmers need in an industry that continues to evolve.
Goeringer joined the AALA in 2007 and recently completed a three-year term on the board in 2023. Most recently, Goeringer served as a co-chair of the Farm to Firm Committee, a monthly newsletter providing valuable information on recently legal developments to AALA members.
“I’m excited that my peers elected me to this leadership position in the Association,” said Goeringer, “and I’m excited to serve a three-year term and looking forward to helping plan next year’s annual educational symposium in Fort Lauderdale.”
