This year’s virtual conference will cover marketing and processing, and hemp production and management, including organic cultivation. In addition, this year’s conference will again include a stellar panel to discuss the current state of federal and state regulations for hemp. Jim Drews from Maryland Department of Agriculture will be joined by Trish Hall, Chief Compliance Officer for Native Plant Company, Kevin Atticks from the Maryland Hemp Coalition, and Renee Johnson from the U.S. Congressional Research Service who will provide an overview of Federal regulations related to the U.S. hemp industry. Nicole Cook, Agricultural and Environmental Faculty Legal Specialist at UMES, will moderate the panel, and attendees will be able to submit questions for the panelists.
