Biography
Charles D. “Chip” MacLeod is founder of MacLeod Law Group with offices in Chestertown and Denton on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Prior to forming his own firm in 2017, he practiced law for 19 years with Funk & Bolton, P.A. where he headed the firm’s Local Government Practice Group.
For more than three decades Chip MacLeod has been involved in some capacity with local governments: first as a newspaper reporter/editor covering the Maryland General Assembly and local governments on the Eastern Shore; then as Associate Director of the Maryland Association of Counties (MACo) in Annapolis; then as the County Administrator of Kent County, Maryland, and for the past 20 plus years providing wide-ranging advice and counsel to Maryland local government entities and officials – including the Clean Chesapeake Coalition since 2012.
He is a graduate of Washington College and the University of Maryland School of Law.
