Kimberly joined the ALEI team as a program coordinator in July. In her role, Kimberly plans and coordinates ALEI meetings and events, manages the ALEI website, and works on special projects for the initiative. Before joining ALEI, Kimberly served as a legal assistant and paralegal for the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Maryland. Prior to that, she worked for the web marketing agency DealerON as a production specialist. Kimberly has an extensive background in education including working as an early childhood teacher and in multiple after-school programs. Kimberly worked as an intern and later a community outreach specialist for the education advocacy organization DC VOICE in addition to working as a fellow for the People’s Property Campaign with the non-profit EmpowerDC. Kimberly received her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from the University of Maryland University College and her Master of Science degree in health promotion from the Maryland University of Integrative Health.
